In his book, The Big Miss, golf instructor Hank Haney discusses how his former pupil, Tiger Woods dreaded that one shot that could derail a good round. This shot was referred to as “the big miss”.
We all have that tendency to miss a shot – especially under pressure. For many good golfers this is generally a hook to the left (if you are right-handed) and a snapper the other way (if you are left-handed).
One sure fire way to eliminate this shot from your arsenal is to change your ball position. By simply moving the ball towards the center of your stance, you will create a move which will help you to stay on top of the ball.
Be sure you swing aggressively and in tempo. As always – to play gutsy golf, you need to pick a conservative target and then swing with guts.
